Equipping your whole team with smart cards: a simple bulk guide

June 16, 2026 6 min read
An upbeat small business team collaborating together in a sleek modern office.

A single tap card is a nice tool. A team of tap cards, all pointing at the right pages, is a small system. Here is how to plan a bulk rollout without losing a week to logistics.

Step one: agree on the destination pattern

Decide up front what every card will open. There are two common patterns:

  • Individual: each card opens that person's own profile, booking page, or portfolio.
  • Team: every card opens a shared team page with links out to individuals.

Pick one and write it down. Mixing patterns halfway through the order is where teams lose time.

Step two: lock the artwork before the roster

Bring us the front-of-card design first. Logo, colorway, layout. Once that is approved, the roster is just a spreadsheet of names and links. Personalization moves fast when the design is already signed off.

Step three: pick the right products

  • Tap Tag for daily carry and one-on-one moments.
  • Tap Magnet for storefronts, trade show tables, and shared spaces.
  • Lock Screen Card as a free digital add-on for the whole team while physical cards are in production.

Step four: plan your link strategy

People change roles. Titles change. Team members move on. Encode each product with a Linktree or Link.me address and set an owner on your side who updates those destinations once a quarter, with no reorder.

The one thing most teams get wrong

They order the cards, then figure out the destinations. Do it the other way around. Have the pages ready to go before the cards ship, and every card is live and useful from day one.
